Holiday Andalucia has two self-catering houses for rent directly from the owner. Casa Muñeca, a traditional two bedroom townhouse with a south facing roof terrace in the heart of Competa and Finca Cuatro Pinos, a two bedroom, two bathroom country house with private swimming pool set in a Mediterranean garden.

Both houses are traditionally built in the Moorish/ Andalucian style but have been restored and updated beautifully by their owner, Irene Grant.

Competa is a popular area for walking, hiking, cycling, bird watching and horse riding on country trails through the spectacular scenery. A short drive to the coast will take you to the towns of Nerja and Torre del Mar, a golf course and water park.

Irene is an artist and designer who moved to Competa from the UK a few years ago. Having fallen in love with the stunning scenery and wonderful weather, she decided to take on the renovation of these buildings, bringing them back to life and adding modern facilities to their original charm and character. She is sure that her guests will enjoy their choice of either the vibrant village or quiet country on offer here, in the heart of the ruggedly beautiful Axarquia region.
